Obituary for Wilson Johnny Payne

Wilson Johnny Payne, 72, of Hot Springs, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 22, 2018.
Johnny was born August 26, 1945 in Haywood County and was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Payne and Oree Frisbee Payne. He was a proud Veteran of the US Army, having served in Vietnam where he received a Purple Heart. He was a lifelong farmer, and a member of Meadowfork Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Payne, son, Doug Payne and father in-law, Elzie Moore.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Ann Moore Payne; children: Daniel Payne, Wayne Moore (Heather) and Donald Payne (April); several grandchildren; and brother, Denver Payne.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Meadowfork Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Neil Pressley officiating. Interment will follow at Ebbs Cemetery on Roaring Fork.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 25th, at Madison Funeral Home.
