Obituary for Nola Franklin

Nola Franklin, “Nolie”, passed away October 30, 2017 at her home surrounded by family. She was 88 years old. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Words cannot describe how greatly she will be missed. Nola loved to do jigsaw puzzles and loved to help others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pink and Hannah Franklin; two brothers, Walter and JD; four sisters: Minnie, Essie, Edna and Betty; her Aunt Martha, who raised her; her first cousin Perman, who was more like her brother; and her son, Gerald Franklin.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa “Kitty” Franklin; granddaughters, Danielle Hensley (Josh) and Jamie Buckner (Tim); great grandchildren, Logan Hensley and Austin Buckner; sister, Shirley Smith; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Joan Buckner.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Memorial Church of God with special speaker Roy Tweed officiating. Pallbearers will be Josh Hensley, Tim Buckner, JC Gentry, Ray Tweed, Lee Ball and David Stills. Interment will follow in the Jack Franklin Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017 in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Services. At other times they will be at the home of Teresa Franklin.
