Obituary for Maude Hylton Woody

Maude Hylton Woody, 82, of Mars Hill, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Care Partners Hospice.
Mrs. Woody was born April 22, 1935 in Marshall to her late parents, Cornel and Cellia Burrell Hylton. She was a member of Laurel Bend Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Woody; son, Sammy Woody; grandson, Robert Woody; son in-law, David Blevins; sisters, Ellie Brown, Ruby Roberts and Annie Metcalf.
Surviving are her children, Clifton Woody, Patricia Woody, and Annette Sprouse (Joe); grandchildren, Sherry Murray (Phil), Mandy English (Joey), D.J. Woody (Magen), Nathan Woody (Jennifer), Joseph Sprouse (Andrea) and Jennifer Morris (Jonathan); great-grandchildren, Hope, Courtney, Bryson, Tanner, Raegen, Ryder, Scarlett and Sage Woody, and Hunter Murray; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 24, 2017 in the chapel of Madison Funeral Services with Reverends Kermit Ball and Larry Sprouse officiating.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 25, 2017 in the Lower English Cemetery on Wolf Laurel.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
