Obituary for Lawrence King

Lawrence King, 72, of Marshall, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 12, 2018.
Lawrence was born December 10, 1945 in Madison County to his late parents, Clinton King and Pansy Cantrell Key.
Lawrence was raised since childhood by the late John and Ida Roberts, and upon their passing, resided with his brother Pete and his wife Edna. He was a loving friend, caregiver, and lifetime member of Spillcorn Church of God.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Freeman, sister, Helen Wallin and grandparents, Roscoe and Wanda King, and Henry Cantrell.
Left to cherish his memory are his siblings: Pete Roberts (Edna), Dick Roberts (Pansy), Linda Cantrell (Raymond), Linda Ellis (Roger), Melissa Delay (Mike), William “WJ” Key, Marvin King, Ray King (Debbie), Charlotte Hensley (Alvin); as well as several nieces and nephews.
A service will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Spillcorn Church of God with Pastors Eddie Roberts, Raymond Cantrell, Jonathan Hensley and Mike Delay officiating. Interment will follow at Hensley Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the church prior to the service.
At other times, the family will be at the Spillcorn Church of God Fellowship Hall on Tuesday, May 15, beginning at 5:00 pm.
