Obituary for Jessie Mae Griffin

Jessie Mae Treadway Griffin, 99, of Marshall, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 23, 2018.
Jessie was born November 15, 1918 to the late Will and Matilda Norton Treadway. She was a seamstress, and member of Davis Chapel Baptist Church.
Jessie lived her life to the fullest, never wasting a moment. She was an excellent cook, always trying to take care of someone, putting others needs before her own. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she will be greatly missed by all.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Griffin; children, Bobby Frank Griffin, Van Griffin and Betty Lisenbee; five brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her son, Coy Griffin (Mary Kate); daughter, Jacksie Roberts (Earl); daughter in-law, Ruth Griffin; 9 grandchildren: Michael Roberts, Missy Lewis, Betty Turner, Toby and Keith Griffin, Jan Griffin, Billy Lisenbee, Morris Lisenbee, who was very special to her, and Ronald Lisenbee; 12 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and special friend and caregiver, Julie Norton.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Madison Funeral Services with Pastors Garland Rice and Phillip Parker officiating. The family will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday, May 25th.
