HOT SPRINGS – Brice Stewart Wrenn of Hot Springs, formerly of Chapin, SC, died on Wed., July 28, 2010.

Mr. Wrenn was born Nov. 6, 1922 in Richburg, SC. He retired as the proprietor of BS Wrenn Painting Service and Fay’s Sandwich Shop in Columbia, SC. After retirement he enjoyed driving a school bus for Lexington County School District # 5 and owning and operating Roadside Market with his beloved wife, Loree. Brice was a member of Chapin United Methodist Church and attended Antioch United Methodist Church while living in Hot Springs. He was a Master Mason for 60+ years and Past Master of Boyleston Masonic Lodge # 123 in Ballentine, SC. He was a member of the Scottish Rites of Columbia and Jamil Temple. Brice lived on Lake Murray in Chapin until his wife of 66 years passed away. He then lived his remaining years with his son, Jimmy and wife, Barbara in Hot Springs, NC. He lived a blessed life and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael Brice Wrenn and Katherine Stewart Wrenn of Chapin; wife, Loree Young Wrenn who died Sept. 24, 2006 and a great great grandchild.

Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, James (Jimmy) and Barbara Wrenn of Hot Springs; Loree Diane Wrenn of Chapin, SC; and Nancy Wrenn Rumbaugh and husband, Don also of Chapin, SC; grandchildren, James Brice Wrenn, Jr. and wife, Angie, Joel Lewis Wrenn and wife, Crystal, Katherine Wrenn Hilliard and husband, Jeff all of Lexington, Missy Wood and husband, Randy of Hot Springs, Michael Ensley of White Pine, Tenn., and Ashley Nicole Rumbaugh of Chapin, SC; eight great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren; and brother, Harold Samuel Wrenn and wife, Elizabeth of Lexington, SC.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 31st in Chapin United Methodist Church, Chapin, SC with the Reverends Randy Wood and Jody Flowers officiating. Interment will follow in the Chapin United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday prior to the service at the church.

Memorials may be made to Madison County Home Care and Hospice of Hot Springs, NC; Chapin United Methodist Church or Antioch United Methodist Church, Hot Springs.

The family is very grateful to the staff of Hospice of Madison County for their support and care.
