HOT SPRINGS – Diora Letha Gowan Lawson, 94, of Hot Springs, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2010.
Mrs. Lawson was born Oct. 29, 1915 in Madison County where she had lived all of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover C. and Ica Brooks Gowan; husband, Harry E. Lawson; and sisters, Lena Davis, Inez Nothey and Eloise Gowan.
Surviving are her son, Charles Edward Lawson of Hot Springs; granddaughter, Julie Megan Lawson Grooms, three great grandchildren, sisters, Ruth Etheton, Nellie Harkleroad and Beulah Presnell and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Home with the Reverends Randy Wood and Bobby Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm, Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
