WEAVERVILLE - Mona Lee Shelton Flynn, 73 of Weaverville, died on Saturday, July 24, 2010.
Mrs. Flynn was born Nov. 22, 1936 in Madison County and was a resident of Buncombe County for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlie and Viola Cook Shelton; husband, Ted Flynn who died in 1995; and brothers, Jack Shelton, Douglas McArthur Shelton and Charles Macky Shelton.
Surviving are her daughter, Karyn Hamlin of Weaverville; son, Ricky Flynn and wife, Amy of Burnsville; grandchildren, Jason and Logan Flynn and Cory Hamlin; great granddaughter, Rowyn Mae Flynn; sisters, Lois, Kate, Linda and Carol Ann; and brothers, George, Phillip, Penny, Bob and Ronnie Shelton.
Mrs. Flynn’s Private Interment will be held in West Memorial Park, Weaverville.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday at Madison Funeral Home.
