ASHEVILLE – Sharon Kay Lamb, 46, of Asheville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 22, 2010.
A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Sharon was a blessing to all those who knew her. Preceding her in death are her paternal grandparents, Glen and Pauline Lamb; maternal grandparents, Issac Gunter, Sr. and Robbie King Gunter; and several aunts and uncles.
Sharon leaves behind her loving parents, George and Thelma Gunter Lamb of Asheville; two sisters, Carolyn Gentry of Candler and Pamela Burrell of Swannanoa; a brother, Michael Gunter of Marshall; and ten nieces and nephews.
A Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Home with the Reverend Jeff McCurry officiating. Interment will follow in Gunter Family Cemetery with Christopher and Brandon Sizemore, Colton Fore, Robert Rupert, Simon Robinson and Brison Sizemore serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 24th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
