Sue Shetley Holt, 89 of Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord Saturday July 17, 2010 after a brief illness. A native and life long resident of Madison County, she was a daughter of the late Nick and Minnie Shetley. She attended Fairview Methodist Church.
Mrs. Holt was also preceded in death by her husband, Emory Holt; infant son, Donald Ray Holt; grandchildren, Billy Holt and Beverly Holt; brothers, Burnett, Burl, Bill and John Shetley; sisters, Ruby Shetley, Edna Suttles and Caroline Cogdill.
Mrs. Holt is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Betty Holt of Newport, TN, Leon and Patty Holt of Parrottsville, TN, Arnold and Wilma Holt of Hot Springs, Larry and Betty Holt of Hot Springs, Michael and Rachel Holt of Hot Springs; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Carl David Tweed of Black Mtn., Judy and Pete Moore of Del Rio TN; sister, Jean Davis of Weaverville, NC; 20 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 13 great, great grandchildren and special friend Carolyn Stewart.
Funeral services for Mrs. Holt will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Randy Wood and Rev. Mickey Church. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
