WEAVERVILLE – Linda Gail Norton Coates-Williams, 63, of Weaverville, passed away on Wednesday, June 30th, 2010.
Linda was born May 28, 1947 in Madison County. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church and was previously the owner and operator of a daycare. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Leatha Cody Norton and a brother, Tony Norton.
Surviving are her husband, Robert Williams of the home, son, Jeffrey Coates of Weaverville; sisters, Betty Ponder of Mars Hill and Faye Phillips of Alexander; brother, Roy Norton and wife, Renee of Marshall, a very special niece, Hannah Norton, niece, Loretta Shelton, and nephews, Lane Ponder and Stanley and Steve Norton.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Home with the Reverends Mark Chase, Ken Parker and Junior Hensley officiating. Interment will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
