SWANNANOA – Josephine Lewis Moseley was born on April 15, 1932 and was promoted to Glory on March 3, 2010 surrounded by her family at the home of her daughter, Cindy Davidson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Daisy Lewis of Madison County and her husband of 31 years, Albert Moseley.

Mom was an accomplished writer, a talent which began at Warren Wilson College and continued throughout her life. She loved to write stories of family events and historical accounts. She worked on her geneology for many years and served on a committee to write the Madison County Heritage Book. Josephine is known for her smile, encouraging words and positive attitude. Mom was always proud to be an Alumni of Warren Wilson College where she spent 5 years. In her later years she retired from the Black Mountain Center but continued to enjoy working with people with developmental disabilities. She was a lovely Christian woman who lived what she believed. She was a role model for her family and community. She had a servants heart and always looked for ways to help people. Our loss is a Heavenly gain - we will see you again, Mom!

Surviving Josephine are her daughters, Kathy Wright and husband Bob, Cindy Davidson and husband John, Karen Moseley and partne, Barbara, and Sons, Jim Moseley and wife, Renee and Steve Moseley and wife Wendy, twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Home with the Reverend Hayes Carver officiating. Interment will follow in Lewis Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
