MARSHALL – Vanda Wallin Cook, 78, of Marshall, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 16th, 2010.
Mrs. Cook was born June 12, 1931 in Madison County where she had lived all of her life. She was a devoted member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church. Vanda was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Malonie Norton Wallin, husband, Odell Cook, son, Gary Cook and daughter, Lana Cook.
Surviving are her daughter, Doris Shelton and husband, Kenneth and granddaughter, Lucinda; grandson, Michael Cook and wife, Lynn; great granddaughter, Riley and great grandson, Ross; daughter-in-law, Betty Jones; special nieces, Patsy Norton and Mary Jo Ramsey and several other special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Home with the Reverends Joe Tomberlin and Raymond Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family requests In Lieu of Flowers, donations be made to the Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
