CLYDE – Beulah Waldroup Stamey, 95 of Clyde, died on Friday, January 29, 2010.
Mrs. Stamey was born March 27, 1914 in Madison County where she had lived for most of her life. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Beulah was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Minnie Silvers Waldroup; husband, Aaron C. Stamey; five sisters, five brothers, granddaughter, Robin Lynn Allen and great grandson, Michael Stamey.
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Juanita and Frank Bradley of Maggie Valley, Betty Messer of Waynesville, and Mary and Terry Allen of Clyde; son and daughter-in-law, Carroll Lee and Tina Stamey of Clyde; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday in Liberty Baptist Church with the Reverends Bill Ponder and Greg Warren officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Beulah’s grandsons serving as pallbearers and her great grandson serving as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at Madison Funeral Home where the body will remain until placed in the church one-half hour prior to the service.
