MARSHALL – Linda Joyce Cox Thomas, 65, of Marshall, died on Friday, January 22, 2010.
Linda was born Aug. 7, 1944 in Greene County, Tenn. She had been a resident of Madison County for several years. She was the daughter of Ada Nell Cox and the late Dale Landon Cox.
Surviving is her husband, Houston Thomas of the home; sons, Adam Barham, of Greenville, TN, Andy Barham of Knoxville, TN, Kendall Barham and his wife, Betty, of Manchester, and Houston Lee Thomas and his wife, Tracy, of Marshall; grandchildren, Landon Barham of Greenville, TN, Matthew and Bethany Barham, of Manchester, Scott Thomas, of Greenville, TN and Amber Rice; four brothers and sister-in-laws, John and Delores Cox, Bill and Donna Cox, Eddie and Dema Cox and Paul Cox; two sisters and brother-in-laws, Nellie and Rick Bowers, of Greenville, TN and Bernice Cox and husband, Gary Yordon, of Tallahassee, FL; mother-in-law, Mary Thomas; sister-in-law, Ethel Emerson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Brigman’s Chapel Church with the Rev. Sam Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas Family Cemetery with Scott Thomas, Houston Lee Thomas, Erik Bowers, Gregory Cox, Johnny Love, Wayne Tweed and Tim Knipp serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the home from Saturday afternoon until Sunday at 12 noon.
