MARSHALL – Jimmie Jack Webb, 79, of Marshall passed away on Monday, January 4th, 2010.
Mr. Webb was born May 30, 1930 in Marcia, New Mexico and had lived in Madison County for most of his life. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, James Kidd Webb and Mary Kate Massey Webb and a sister, Ruth Whitt.
Surviving is his wife of 56 years, Katie Nix Webb; daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Terry Davis of Marshall, Linda and John Thompson of King, NC and Johnna and Chris Peters of Navarre, Fla.; sons and daughter-in-law, Tony and Sharon Webb and George Holden Webb; nine grandchildren, Philip Davis and wife, Jill, Joshua, Eric and Ryan Davis, Andrew and Cody Thompson, and Thomas Westmoreland and wife, Jasmine, Lady Kimberly and Travis Westmoreland; a great great grandchild, Bailey Metcalf and a brother, Landon Webb.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Home conducted by Mars Hill VFW, Post # 5483.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Madison County, PO Box 69, Marshall, NC 28753.
